Cold-Resistant Cables

Cold-Resistant Cables

Short Description:

Cold-Resistant Cables are made from special materials that allow the cables to maintain good flexibility even in very low-temperature environments. These cables feature cold resistance, flexibility, wear resistance, and oil resistance, making them suitable as flexible connection cables for mobile electrical equipment with a rated AC voltage of 0.6/1 kV or below, where cold and oil resistance are required.

DimensionDetailed Description
Product DefinitionA special type of cable specially developed for low temperature environments, which can operate stably for a long time in a low temperature environment of -40℃ and below. It is specially optimized for low temperature performance of insulation, mechanical properties, flexibility and aging resistance, and is the core basic component for stable power supply and accurate signal transmission in low temperature scenarios such as cold region outdoors, cold storage, polar regions, mines, and new energy.
Core MaterialsThe core insulation/sheath adopts special cold-resistant polymer materials, the mainstream materials include: cold-resistant modified polyvinyl chloride (PVC), cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), ethylene propylene rubber (EPR), silicone rubber, fluoroplastic, polyurethane (PUR), etc.; the conductor is oxygen-free copper/tinned copper/aluminum alloy conductor, and high-purity oxygen-free copper conductor is preferred for low temperature scenarios to ensure stable conductivity at low temperatures.
Core Characteristics1. Excellent low temperature resistance: the long-term allowable operating temperature can be as low as -90℃, the insulation performance and mechanical performance have no attenuation in low temperature environment, no brittleness and no hardening, which is fully suitable for extreme low temperature working conditions;
2. High flexibility and deformation resistance: it still maintains excellent flexibility in low temperature environment, can be laid with an extremely small bending radius, and has excellent bending resistance and fatigue fracture resistance, which is far superior to ordinary cables, and is suitable for mobile laying scenarios at low temperatures;
3. Strong weather resistance and aging resistance: UV resistance, ozone resistance, heat and humidity resistance, salt spray resistance, and the service life of long-term outdoor laying in cold regions can reach more than 15 years, far exceeding that of ordinary cables;
4. Stable electrical performance: high insulation resistance, stable dielectric constant, small dielectric loss in low temperature environment, which can stably transmit power and signals without voltage attenuation and signal distortion;
5. Outstanding safety performance: it can be matched with high flame retardant, low smoke zero halogen and fire resistant structure, no dripping and no toxic gas release during combustion, which fully meets the fire safety requirements of low temperature environment;
6. Chemical corrosion resistance: it can withstand corrosive media such as acid, alkali, oil stain and organic solvent in low temperature environment, which is suitable for low temperature corrosion scenarios such as cold storage, chemical industry and marine engineering.
National/International Implementation StandardsDomestic standards: GB/T 12706 Series Standards for Extruded Insulated Power Cables, GB/T 5013 Series Standards for Rubber Insulated Cables, GB/T 2951 General Test Methods for Cable Insulation and Sheath Materials, MT 818 Series Standards for Coal Mine Cables, GB/T 19666 General Rules for Flame Retardant and Fire Resistant Wires and Cables;
International standards: IEC 60502 Specification for Extruded Insulated Power Cables, IEC 60332 Test Methods for Burning Performance of Cables, UL 758 Standard for Appliance Wiring Materials.
Core Application Scenarios1. Cold region outdoor scenarios: outdoor power supply, photovoltaic power stations, wind power generation, communication base stations, transportation facilities in cold regions such as Northeast China, Northwest China and Qinghai-Tibet Plateau;
2. Low temperature cold storage scenarios: power supply and temperature control signal transmission for food/medical cold storage, cold chain logistics, and low temperature warehousing;
3. Polar and alpine scenarios: power supply for scientific research, military and civil facilities in Antarctic/Arctic scientific research stations and plateau alpine regions;
4. Underground mine scenarios: power supply and signal transmission for low temperature roadways and high-drop shafts in coal mines and metal mines;
5. New energy scenarios: power supply and control signal transmission for wind turbines and photovoltaic power stations in plateaus and cold regions;
6. Special industrial scenarios: power supply and signal transmission for aerospace, military equipment, low temperature test equipment, and chemical low temperature workshops.
